“Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t so you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.”

India has for the past many years remained a job-seeking country, largely due to the lack of opportunities for funds to start new empires. However, some great people like Mr.Dhirubhai Ambani have proved that a good business can be set up and flourish if enough hard work and planning is put into it. Owing to this thought and further implementing the idea, the honorable Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi has initiated the startup drive. In the past few years, dejected by the large spread unemployment problem the youth has taken to start their own businesses. These unique business ideas which are nothing like what has been done in the past are known as Start-ups. The Government is working towards providing funds to the students so as to encourage and support them. Many colleges like the Marwadi University, the best college in Gujarat, have specially established an Entrepreneurship cell so as to give equal importance and guidance to the young entrepreneurs.
Indian youth has never been short of innovative business ideas, but the reason why the country had hardly seen any major entrepreneurial breakthroughs until recently is that these innovative ideas could not be implemented. Due to the lack of funds, support and guidance owning a business seemed a risky choice. But today, startups are gaining more popularity among the youth. The market demand for more innovation, uniqueness, and creativity is rapidly increasing. These Entrepreneurship cells are thus responsible for preparing the students to implement their ideas. The vision of the Entrepreneurship cell or the E-cell is to induce the entrepreneurship spirit among students. In today’s tech-driven world, innovative and unique ideas are the key to success. To tap the unexplored opportunities gives you an edge over others. Marwadi University, the top college in Gujarat, plans various workshops, speaker sessions, competitions and professional networking events for the students. These help the students to understand their resources and market in a better way.
Entrepreneurship cells are mostly like placement cells. As the Placement cells guide the students during the placements, the Entrepreneurship cells help the students to pursue their business and start-up goals. The cell organizes the number of events like entrepreneurs interaction sessions, entrepreneurship awareness camp, lectures, workshops and demo days. This helps the students to know all about starting their own business venture. With complete knowledge regarding business practices and techniques and their raw ideas, the students are able to create a well-connected business and become successful entrepreneurs. This startup initiative started by the PMO can only be successful if the youth is given the right guidance and support to start their own ventures. And as responsible Education Institutes, it is the responsibility of the Entrepreneurship cells of the college to encourage and motivate the students to fulfill their entrepreneur dreams.
